Over the last few weeks, the red carpet has been very focused on nipples. Thanks Rihanna! But as we enter deep summer, the necklines of the gowns belonging to celebrities have grown deeper. Everywhere we looked this week, there were not nipples, but clavicles. These were deep plunging necklines, like Donna Karan's right, that didn't allow for pushed-up cleavage but rather exposed lots of chest.

The ever-elegant Keri Russell looked demure in her plunge-neck J. Mendel gown.

Naomi Watts used a Bulgari necklace to jazz up the expanse of clavicle exposed by her Burberry dress. 

Michelle Dockery wore a shift dress with a plunging neckline to the polo. 

But newcomer Nicola Peltz (the 19-year-old star of the Transformers films) inverted the trend in Prada.
