Haim, deconstructed

by

Haim have been bubbling to the surface of the style-scene for a short while now, with countless festival appearances, and enough YouTube videos to make a feature-length whimsical mash-up to rival anything Sofia Coppola might have up her sleeve, and they haven't even released an album yet.

Well, that's about to change, with the announcement that their debut, Days Are Gone, will be released on the 30 September

Its cover, featuring the three Haim sisters sitting on checked deck chairs (how Céline autumn 2013), is a perfect distillation of the style we've come to love them for - part Stevie Nicks bohemia, part Alison Mosshart rock chick, a heavy dose of Angela Chase's mid-1990s grunge, and a little of today's trends thrown in for good measure (are those Toga Pulla boots we spy on Danielle?).

It might be a simple-seeming sleeve, but there's a whole lot of influence gone into the cooking pot for this cover, as we've deconstructed in this gallery – a virtual moodboard, if you will.
