Does an outfit tell a million stories? It could be so in the case of Rihanna whose seemingly casual attire worn wandering around Rabbat in Morocco earlier this week could just have some hidden messages. There’s definite ‘I’m in a backpacker hotspot’ Hideous Kinky, faux-bohemia vibes about the loosely worn headscarf and filigree bangles, but there could be even more to it than that. To the naked eye, this could look simply like a T-shirt and jeans, but is it fashion Morse code? Here’s what the singer might be trying to tell us. 

Ri-stylespiracy theory one: Rihanna is reportedly suing Topshop for £3million after they splashed her face over one of their T-shirts without her permission. Is she playing tit-for-tat by wearing an image of Kate Moss, known best-bud of the brand (it’s easier to wear her than Philip Green perhaps), on her T-shirt? 

Ri-stylespiracy theory two: Or on the other hand, is she supporting Topshop to twist boyfriend Chris Brown’s melon? Claims have been cropping up that Chris has been canoodling with Chloe Green, daughter of aforementioned boss-of-Topshop Phil, so referencing the brand with her T-shirt (with Kate’s face, because Kate IS Topshop, keep up, yeah?) is she telling Chris she thinks it’s true? Is she saying she doesn’t care about the rumours by bigging up Chloe’s Topshop camp, like the T-shirt equivalent of keeping your friends close, and your enemies closer? Is she sending mixed signals to fox Chris and thus punish him through confusion? What is it, Riri? 

Ri-stylespiracy theory three: Guess what the brand who make Rihanna’s T-shirt is called - only Hype Means Nothing. Coincidence?! Is she quashing all the rumours swirling around her with one cleverly named T-shirt? Is wearing the brand to say ‘hey dudes, stop analysing my outfit, hype means nothing, yeah’?

She could of course just think that Kate Moss rules (who doesn’t?) and have fancied keeping her hair out of her face with a scarf she picked up at the market.  Or maybe not…
