Nobody knows how to exude glamour like the Italians. Just ask Sophia Loren, Donatella Versace, Giovanna Battaglia, Anna Dello Russo, Valentino, Armani, Dolce and Gabbana, to name but a few flying the flag for the country's style. 

In a new exhibition, The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945 - 2014, opening at the V&A on Saturday 5th April, we see an exploration of how Italy rose like a phoenix from the flames (with ruby claws, golden feathers and a luxe fur stole, no doubt) out of the ruins of WWII to become one of the world's major fashion capitals and producer of luxury goods. 

The exhibition allows you to see craftmanship and exquisite tailoring up close, as well as celebrating the style icons and creative leaders of the Italian fashion world.
