Until recently, the most risqué thing about Kate Middleton's skirts was when one of them had the impudence to blow over her head and expose the Royal junk while on tour in Canada. But apparently The Queen has deemed K-Middy's middies too short, and has ordered royal dresser Angela Kelly to take her hems down a notch or two ahead of her forthcoming Australian tour. Skirt to leg ratio correlates directly with that of posh to pov, apparently. 

Well, your Maj, 1955 called, and it wants its attitude back. Aside from the insinuation that anything suggesting sexuality revokes any notion of respectability – which we won't even begin to WTF about – short skirts haven't been shocking since Twiggy made them commonplace 50 years ago. In fact, you're as likely to see this modern day wardrobe staple in the office as you are in the pub or the park.
