I don't really know what to call this – I'd lean toward 'shirt' or 'blouse', but it doesn't have any buttons. It's too flimsy to be called a jacket, so the only option left is 'chemise', which makes it sound like a nightie. There are elements of wafty undies about this 'chemise' but that's what I like about it – you can throw it on over anything and it's a delicate finishing touch. Not only that, it's sporty and modern at the same time, so it doesn't leave you feeling all girly, or like the sort of person who might wear a 'chemise'. Combining all those very disparate themes is pretty impressive in my book.
