Why this Jonathan Saunders shirt is subtly different

Never Underdressed's news editor Harriet Walker on her Jonathan Saunders shirt

One of the things I love about this shirt is how far away it is from the things I usually wear, in that it's purple and printed. I think of it as my Tetris shirt, for its interlocking Ys. I really admire Jonathan Saunders so much; I think he's incredibly innovative, and makes practical clothing elegant and interesting. The way this shirt is cut – boxy-ish, with lots of darts and pleats, and a deep collar and cuffs – means it looks completely different on to the other silk shirts that I wear. In that way, this shirt is a bit of a challenge. But it always pays off – people I don't know compliment me on it every time it comes out.
