Buying a new pair of sunglasses is possibly our favourite purchase of the season. Psychologically it marks the start of summer, but without any commitment. For whatever the temperature actually is outside, as long as the sun is shining we can wear our new sunglasses.  

For 2014 there are a few different sunglasses stories to buy into. Thinking of rocking a 70s denim flare with white t-shirt? Then you'll need a pair of delicate-frame aviators with clear or yellow lenses (see Gucci, Isabel Marant for Oliver Peoples).  Classic wayfarers aren't going anywhere - they're always a good choice, but if you fancy a new update, choose overtly graphic styles with thick arms (see Acne x Liberty and the Balenciaga cracked leather style).
