Tokyo Fashion Week is underway and we've rounded up the best street style looks from the Japanese capital. From the quietly understated to the brash and out-there, there is a diverse mix of looks: simple sweater and jeans combos, as well as the Japanese take on tartan (a key trend of autumn 2013) and some outfits that wouldn't seem out of look in a Tim Burton movie.

Street style can sometimes be homogenous, as if fashion types have consulted on what to wear, but Tokyo Fashion Week provides a welcome originality (although we have spotted some Kenzo eyes: well, a fashion week wouldn't be a fashion week without a pop of Kenzo...).
