Sometimes a celebrity will arrive on the red-carpet scene fully formed, a lovely glossy apparition of style and good genes. Often, though they'll need a little poke from a stylist and a little help from the hairdresser to refine their natural style, to smooth the transition from civilian to celebrity.

And then sometimes they'll undergo a complete transformation, a violent remodelling. They'll change before your eyes, morphing into a vision completely opposed to their initial red-carpet appearances. Do you remember what Demi looked like in the 1990s? It was very different to her 2014 style.
