Partridge dons a safari suit for Norwich premiere

Our panelists on the latest and greatest celebrity looks

Alan Partridge wears a sky-blue safari suit for the Norwich premiere of Alpha Papa

Dolly Alderton, TV producer
C*ck P*ss Partridge has really pulled out all the stops for his premiere and his efforts haven't gone unnoticed. The summery choice of pastel blue and slip-on loafers are not only weather-appropriate but stylish too. The cut of the suit is a nostalgic nod to Partridge's golden years in broadcasting, as is the pose. Plus, his hair looks remarkably, if not suspiciously, thicker – just going to show that using Moroccan oil really does pay its dividends.

Laura Silver, staff writer at Never Underdressed
It takes a certain kind of guy to pull off a pastel safari suit and Alan Partridge has all the seedy suave it needs. Perhaps choosing baby blue was his tribute to the new Prince George - a sly way of showing his sensitive side and getting the secretaries of Norwich, where the premiere was held, in a right old swoon. Either way, back of the net for this one Alan, back of the net.

Nick Curtis, senior feature writer at the Evening Standard
Faced with a twin-site movie premiere in Norwich and London, Alan Partidge cleverly opts for a look that is cutting edge by Norfolk standards and desirably retro-ironic for London hipsters. (I speak as one who spent three years as a student in Norwich.) The sublime combination of the colour, the short sleeves and the soft moccasins could only be enhanced if he ditched the pink tie in favour of a Zapata moustache. Definitely a-ha, rather than uh-oh.
