Although matching his n' hers outfits on celebrity couples rarely works (anyone recall Britney and Justin's denim tragedy of 2001?) matching hairdos doesn't always spell disaster. There's something quite endearing about it actually - like best friends at school wanting to braid each other's hair - but in a way that's subtle enough to not turn into Barbie-and-Ken overkill. 

It also throws up a number of questions - could one see it as a subconscious attempt to side-step traditional gender roles in relationships? Do they argue over who gets to use the heated rollers first? Also, it's quite nice to imagine the likes of Kurt and Courtney sitting side by side in the salon with their hair in foils, or Katy and Russell performing a classic high five followed by a hair swoosh à la Cher and Dionne.
