Also in New York, the launch of the Broadway production of Of Mice and Men saw Leighton Meester prove she's secretly the most glamorous Gossip Girl in an inky floor-length gown. 

Emma Stone was out on the promotional trail for The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise Of Electro again last night, following up her turn in Valentino in Rome with a haute-folksy Chanel look from the label's Paris-Dallas collection in Berlin. Stateside, the fashion industry turned out for The Pursuit of Style book launch, while Zooey Deschanel was on American television promoting her new line of clothes with Tommy Hilfiger.

Award season might be officially over but MTV snuck in for some red carpet partying with their annual movie awards in LA on Sunday night. Lupita Nyong'o remained reigning queen of the season wearing Chanel, and hippie darling Shailene Woodley showed some fashionable green credentials in olive-coloured Balmain. Nicki Minaj meanwhile proved she looks as good when she keeps things simple as when she goes wild for colour, wearing slinky black with gold accessories. Also steering clear of colour without losing out on wow factor was Rihanna who looked seriously serene in Ulyana Sergeenko couture.
