There’s no doubt about it, New Yorkers know how to dress when their city heats up – while we’re still dithering between tights and bare legs, they’re lounging around in silk t-shirts and perfectly distressed denim cut-offs.

The same goes for make-up – some go for a bare-faced, lightly bronzed look while others – like Coco here – look impossibly cool with porcelain skin and a bright lip.

Coco stood out in the hip throng at Rebecca Minkoff’s Denim Demolition party last night, but how did she do it? By going against the grain, that’s how – her sleek, almost severe slicked down hair, pale complexion and strong lip aren't conventionally summery, but all work perfectly for her. 

The soft brown blush sculpting her cheekbones and the flick of black liner accentuating her feline eyes balance well against that matte neon pinky-red lip (which matched her bag too – was that deliberate or a happy coincidence? Either way, it’s cool.)
