There's a man in a skirt for first-ever JW Anderson campaign
2013 continues to be a year of exciting firsts for JW Anderson – after his inaugural Versus collection earlier this year, today the designer tweeted images from his very first campaign for his own eponymous label.
Shot by Jamie Hawkesworth and styled by Benjamin Bruno, the campaign showcases the designer’s womenswear and menswer, and features two models, Lucan and Oliver O’Brien.
Lucan wears her long, wavy, blonde hair in a high ponytail (is that some sort of fashion scrunchie we see?) with girlish pink cheeks being the only obvious make-up.
Anderson recently said that he likes the idea of androgynous garments, which ‘don't really have sex’, and O’Brien is shot in one of the designer’s tunic styles in one photograph; he wears trousers in the second image. Lucan, meanwhile, is photographed in a leather ensemble in two colours.
It is not yet clear which publications will carry JW Anderson’s first campaign.
