Cher celebrates Gay Pride Week in New York

Whenever I see a picture of Cher in one of her unique outfits my first thought is 'Will this help me forget that sheer bodysuit from her video for If I Could Turn Back Time so that I can move on with my life?' This outfit won't. It's normal enough as far as Cher is concerned. There is definitely too much going on with the headpiece and the fussy glitzy top but she looks incredible and any woman who is over sixty and looks good in biker gear gets my respect.

So it seems the obsession with Game of Thrones is just as big Stateside. A bit Michael Jackson circa Remember the Time meets Tina Turner in Mad Max, but all totally and unmistakably Cher at the same time* – and honey, we love it. It is NYC Pride week after all.

Cher is the definition of the word Diva – just look at this ensemble. Cleopatra does S&M via Studio 54, it’s a complete hot mess but she still looks fabulous. Has she stolen Kanye’s leather kilt? Note how the gold chains on her boots match her top-half embellishments; this outfit was not thrown together by chance. Arguably age appropriate too, as her arms are covered (take note, Madonna). Music icon, gay icon, fashion icon – this high priestess encourages idolatry so get down and worship.
