On 26 April we shed light on Naomi Campbell’s Barbie blonde hair that graced the cover of Vogue Brazil and now it seems Rihanna has chosen a similar style herself. She’s the ultimate hair chameleon and changes her ‘do as often as she gets inked, so a lot then. She’s sported all manner of styles over her lifespan and this doll-like look has got to be up there with her book of best styles yet. She’s added her signature backwards cap, of course, to give it edge and because really, she’d never deign to do plastic LA pretty. It’s both frivolous and massive, but surely that’s what Rihanna does best… a full-on, verging on cartoon-like style that most people would never have the balls to pull off. Which is why we love it. Dearly.

Thankfully it’s makes for a miles better style to the mum-crop wig she was snapped in the night before – we were slightly concerned she’d pulled an Anne Hathaway on us. The 80s style half-mullet/half-pudding bowl toupee was questionable moment of judgement, but the singer has managed to redeem herself in one quick instant with this Barbie confection.
