Sharon Stone channels Princess Michael of Kent

by

Those royals. They sure as hell know how to do high hair, don’t they? I once read an article at the hairdressers, in Tatler (obviously), about the height of your hair correlating to how much money you have, and if the Queen, Camilla Parker-Bowles and Princess Michael of Kent are anything to go by, that might just be true. Between the three of them they must clock up a dozen or so inches of head height via well-coiffured hair that’s both regal and quite splendid. If you’re into that sort of thing.

Talking of Princess Michael, you’d be forgiven for thinking she’d made a pit stop appearance at the Lovelace film screening in New York last night. Truly. Because there, in all her high hair splendour, was Sharon Stone, looking like a true doppelgänger for Princess Pushy. Her creamy blonde lengths had been pushed up into what must have been at least a 7.5 cm high up-do, fixed into place with a good three cans of Elnett. No parting at all, just zhooshed right up into a style that could give any royal a run for their money. Well actually, she’s not exactly short of cash that Sharon Stone, so perhaps that age old adage of hair height corresponding to your bank account really is true.

It’s certainly a brave look. But, is it better than when Sharon’s getting out of her Porsche in Malibu with day old hair that's slightly sea salty and care-free? Probably not. But hey, if Harvey Weinstein is ever to make a film about Princess Michael of Kent, at least he knows who to call.
