In yet another casting coup, Helena Bonham Carter has joined the roll call of famous faces for Marks and Spencer's latest Christmas ad.

According to the Daily Mail, the ad is based around an Alice in Wonderland-esque plot involving Rosie Huntington-Whiteley falling down a rabbit hole (in her underwear, natch).

David Gandy also makes an appearance as the Mad Hatter, wearing Autograph menswear, a top hat and the smile of someone who's been told he's the best-looking man in the world 40,000 times.

Bonham Carter saves the day as a wizard who rescues Huntington-Whiteley's dog (we're sure it will make more sense once we've all seen it). It's her first appearance for Marks and Spencer, and the Mail deems it to be 'hilarious'. 

She follows in the footsteps of Grace Coddington, Tracey Emin, Helen Mirren, Monica Ali and Karen Elson, who starred in the recent campaign shot by Annie Leibovitz. We gave it ten out of ten. They've set the bar high, and we have high hopes for anything starring Bonham Carter. See the new ad on ITV on 6 November.
