Jil Sander is leaving Jil Sander again
Jil Sander has announced that she's leaving her namesake brand for the third time.
Sander founded the company in 1968 and resigned in 2000. She rejoined in May 2003 but left a year and a half later. She returned for a third time in 2012, replacing Raf Simons as creative director, and is now leaving 'for personal reasons'.
The label have confirmed her departure with a statement from CEO Alessandro Cremonesi: 'On behalf of the group I want to thank Jil Sander for her remarkable contribution to the brand over this period. Her outstanding design and creative leadership have been crucial in reinforcing the brand and positioning it to foster further prosperous growth.'
The recently shown spring/summer 2014 collection will be Sander's last.
