The skull scarf is 10: Damien Hirst and Alexander McQueen celebrate
Skulls in art = Damien Hirst, while skulls in fashion are synonymous with Alexander McQueen. It makes sense then, that to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the latter's iconic skull scarf, the two would put their heads together, so to speak, and collaborate.
For the anniversary collection, Hirst has created 30 one-off new designs for the brand, adapting butterflies, spiders and other such big life from his Entomology series. There will of course be skulls too.
The chiffon, poigné, twill and cashmere scarves will be available from £315 online and in Alexander McQueen shops from Friday 15th November, but to tempt you until then, have a look at Sølve Sundsbø's dreamy short film featuring the collection.
