Last night's looks: Beyonce gets braid happy in NYC
Beyonce is keeping schtum about the Solange situation (looks like we're going to have to wait for that tell-all Vanity Fair profile in ten years time) and she's doing a fine job of distracting with her ever fabulous outfits. Braids, a bright coloured-bag and a print dress had summer written all over them - even if the heavens had opened in NYC when her and Jay Z took to the streets.
Chiltern Firehouse is very much the restaurant to be seen at this summer and Lindsay Lohan, who is pretty much a regular now, was there again on Thursday night, along with Suki Waterhouse and Lily Allen, who was back again on Friday. Their menu must be good.
Wednesday finally saw the LA premiere of Maleficent – after months of build-up – with Angelina Jolie in a gothic black gown that brought to mind her wild pre-motherhood years (though there was no vial of blood around her neck).
But Emily Blunt wins first prize for red carpet effort this week. After promoting her new film, Edge of Tomorrow in London on Wednesday morning, wearing a bright and cheery dress by Osman, she managed to make appearances at both the Paris and New York premieres on the same day.
Charlize Theron and Amanda Seyfried were in London on Tuesday night to promote their new film, A Million Ways To Die In The West, a comedy Western written and directed by Seth MacFarlane. Both chose British designers – Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney respectively – for the event.
Meanwhile in New York, Julia Louis-Dreyfus was promoting philanthropy with famous friends and US society types at the Town & Country Kicks-Off T&C Philanthropy Summit at the Lincoln Center.
At the weekend, Lady Gaga was out and about in New York, and cast members of Game of Thrones were promoting the show in Germany.
