Style lessons we've learned from Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Ferris Bueller's Day Off certainly taught us a thing or two about tricking your parents and teachers in order to have a YOLO of a time without 'the man' getting in the way, and it also taught us plenty about style.
How many of you didn't wish that Sloane's white, fringed leather jacket was your own, or that you could still look as nonchalant and pouty as Jeannie in an array of pastel shades? And if Ferris didn't teach you that a super-suave style demeanour is key to coming across as confident and in-control, well, you were watching the wrong film. Plus, Cameron may seem particular and uptight, but when he applies that attitude to minute styling details - his braces, the plaid handkerchief sticking out of his back pocket just so, he comes out on top.
Sidenote: everyone seems to be on the phone all the time in FBDO. As they are giant 80s phones though, they're worth matching to your outfit, as several characters seem to.
Take a look at the best style moments from Ferris Bueller's Day Off to see what fashion lessons you might have missed the first time around.
