Ruth Wilson's snakeskin look divides the panel

Our panelists on the latest and greatest celebrity looks

I loved Ruth Wilson in Get off My Land and in Miss Marple: Nemesis but I don't like this look, I don't. I think the length, print and colour of the dress is not good on her and her skin. I like her hair, and her eyebrows are really beautiful – she has really, really great facial features, features that will only get better the older she gets, which is great. I bet she looks good in a V-neck, a simple A-lined skirt and a great overcoat. And what the hell is going on with the set in the background? I really feel for those poor actors who have to stand in front of weird sets.

Ursula Lake, fashion director at Never Underdressed
There is a lot of animal print about at the moment and so Ruth is on trend here and I think the oversized slightly sports luxe feel to the dress suits her. The bit that lets it down for me is the shoes: I am not a fan of the platformed sole and these feel very heavy with this dress. Would have preferred a lighter, high-heeled sandal to show off those enviable legs.

Sali Hughes, beauty editor at the Guardian
Man, I love Ruth Wilson. Her unusual but utterly gorgeous face is a breath of fresh air. Though, while I love the hair, make-up, shoes and colour scheme, this dress just isn't quite right. The short sleeves are too long for her proportions and are neither one thing nor another. The skirt is a nice length but again, the proportions of the skirt swamp her. But it's still an interesting look and a rare and minor misstep from an actress who usually looks fresh and amazing.
