Cara’s post-birthday ultra hi-tech facial

by

It was Cara Delevingne’s 21st birthday a few days ago. Which, judging by her colourful Instagram feed, looked to be the party of the century. Even without the milestone birthday, she’s got a good cause for celebration with a whole host of new season ad campaigns out (Fendi remains our favourite), her first W Magazine cover and that epic shoot with Pharrell Williams. And with hashtags like #crossdressing, #camo and #itsbeenemotional, we’ve no doubt it was a ludicrously – LUDICROUSLY – fun affair.

But with stonkingly good parties come stonkingly bad hangovers. Headaches, body aches, sallow faces, you name it. And while Cara might be model of the moment, even she can’t escape the clutches of post-party spots, a dulled complexion and a general, lack-lustre appearance (sorry Cara). Which is why it doesn’t come as a huge shock to hear that only yesterday, the party girl herself headed to in-the-know facialist Claire Peters. Based at Belgravia hair and beauty destination Neville, Claire is best known for her extraordinary Venus Freeze facial.

You see, this isn’t any old oil and muslin cloth thing; this is the proper, I-want-results-NOW type of stuff. It involves high-tech methods like magnetic field and radio frequency, which raise the temperature of the skin and cause thermal damage, in turn stimulating collagen and elastin production. No, really. It’s enough to make any hot stone quiver, so good are its immediate results and brightening benefits. But enough with the science-y stuff, if you want to be reminded of the efficacy of the treatment, just look at Cara’s ridiculously radiant, glowing complexion.

With rumours that Cara is jetting off to Ibiza this weekend for birthday party mark two, it’s no wonder she’s been hitting the Venus Freeze. Post-hangover and pre-party – what more could a party girl want? Well, another magnum of Dom P, perhaps.
