I love a jumpsuit as much as the next person and Alberta Ferretti is high on my radar too, so this combination on paper would seem like a double thumbs up. Thing is, it just doesn’t look as spectacular as I was hoping. It’s looks a bit, well… high street-y, in my mind. The slightly dowdy shade of blue, the positioning of the belt, the shoulder detail – not such a fan. Fabulous shoes though.

'Would it be true to say,' the red carpet reporter Dennis Pennis once enquired of the American actress Sandra Bullock, 'that your films are a collective load of bullocks?' Well, who had the last laugh? Dennis Pennis is in the ditch. Sandra Bullock is on the prow of superyacht in Sydney Harbour, looking imperious in blue as she promotes her latest bullock, The Heat. Her trouser combination is practical and flattering – prattering. The azure tone contrasts with the sky and the sea, while the aquatic theme continues with the jellyfish texture of her top. However, note how it highlights the thoroughbred glossiness of her hair, the definition of her forearms. Her sardonic smile says: ‘I’m winning.’

Ms. Bullock, how glorious of you to have coordinated your sparkling sapphire outfit with your spectacular backdrop. I contemplated the same thing this morning but gloomy grey London was less inspirational... The vibrant blue Ferretti colour block works a treat with her sallow skin tone and there is absolutely no denying she has attempted to edge it up with the L.A.M.B gladiators. However for me she could have gone to town a bit more with a fiery splash of colour. A shocking pink belt, anything metallic, something to make it pop. All black accessories do not a particularly memorable outfit make… even if your hair is fantastic.
