Anna Wintour at her daughter Bee Shaffer at the Giambattista Valli couture show in Paris yesterday evening

Wintour Jnr doesn't look like she's having much of a laugh at the annual Mother Daughter Rotary Club Dinner, but why would she? The dress, although lovely, would be much better suited on the mother at a Prize Giving rather than a hot young thing of 25. Other than a flash of vampy lipstick, her outfit does nothing but age her delicate face and frame. Wintour Snr however is working her age-appropriate signature look – blunt bob, fine-knit cardi on shoulders and demure midi skirt. If it ain't broke – don't fix it.

We’ve seen some great looks so far from the couture show front row  – namely Leelee Sobieski looking super-chic in Dior at Dior and then here we have Anna Wintour and daughter Bee Shaffer looking really quite pedestrian at the Giambattista Valli couture show last night. They look like they’re on their summer vacation to take in some culture in Europe. Yes, I love Bee’s Dolce sundress but please make more of an effort – you’re not on a sightseeing bus tour of Paris, you’re at couture week.

If my mom and sister looked like Ms Wintour and Bee Shaffer, I would be so happy. I think they look chic and I love the open-toe shoes and what beautiful eyebrows Bee Shaffer has. They look great, that is all there is to say.
