Inside the legendary world of the new Dior book

When you think of a brand as perennially game-changing as Dior, it's not surprising that it's worked with some of the most influential photographers of the 20th Century over its almost 70 year history.

To coincide with a forthcoming photography exhibition at the Dior museum in Normandy, Dior: The Legendary Images, Rizzoli is publishing a coffee table book packed with the pictures, by photographers including Richard Avedon, Cecil Beaton, Patrick Demarchelier, and the first person to snap a Dior show, Pat English.

You'll see Dior's fabulous creations familiarly pictured aside majestic elephants courtesy of Avedon (you know the one) as well as Paolo Roversi's pics of Raf Simons' modern take on the label.

The exhibition at the Dior museum doesn't open until September but you can pore over the book of Dior The Legendary Images: Great Photographers And Dior from 30th April.

You might not be seeing them in Normandy yet, but they're still best enjoyed with a cool glass of French cidre.
