Matches has got more than its legendary sale to send us into a style tail-spin this week with an exclusive capsule collection by flower-powerhouse Erdem available on site from Friday. 

The six piece collection of trousers and blouses in co-ordinating florals uses prints from Erdem’s archive, including an exotic rainforest print, the Narcisse flower and a dreamy sky print that’s got drinking prosecco in a roof garden written all over it. 

Of his reviving the prints which were eventually not used in his mainline collection, the designer commented, ‘I reprinted them on bases that I hadn’t used before like stretch cotton for the trousers and cotton poplin for the tops with sweet little white collars; the original garments were cut in silk satin or washed silk crepes’.
