A French magazine has reported that Kering, the fashion conglomerate formerly known as PPR, is to sue Nicolas Ghesquière, who left his post as creative director of Balenciaga last October. 

Comments the acclaimed designer made in an interview after he had left the label are to blame. Ghesquière detailed his disappointment with how the company had been run, saying had felt 'alone' and 'sucked dry'. And Kering, notoriously protective of information and integrity, are apparently annoyed, calling the comments – published in System magazine in April – a breach of confidentiality.

Neither Ghesquière nor Kering have passed comment on the claims made by Challenge magazine.
