Sneaking into our consciousness just before Christmas (i.e. before our attentions turn, momentarily, from high fashion to elastic waistbands and endless eating), Saint Laurent's SS14 campaign launches today.

Shot by Hedi Slimane in Los Angeles, the images star two models who walked in the SS14 show – Natalie Westling and Nastya Sten – joined by newcomer Jeff Fribourg.

Compared to some of Slimane's previous campaign models – who include Cara Delevingne and Freja Beha Erichsen – they're relatively unstarry. Fribourg is a filmmaker and photographer with little history of modelling, but evidently had the cheekbones and cool-boy credentials to make Slimane's cut. He's been photographed by the designer before, though with a very different hairstyle.
