We tell you what to do this week

by

Go training: people get nerdy about trainers. Really nerdy. In an exhibition at the Hoxton gallery, ‘adidas Spezial: An incomplete adidas history from a fan’s perspective’ you can get a load of rare vintage pairs, collaborations with top fashion names including Naomi Campbell and re-issues that have been hoarded by fans. Go along for a full-on geek-out before it closes on 27th July

Turning Japanese: Hyper Japan will be taking over Earls Court from the 26th-28th July for a massive celebration of Japanese culture, cuisine and cool. Japanese street style is some of the coolest in the world, and at the Tokyo Style Transformation area, you could let a little bit of it rub off on you with a full beauty make-over from top Japanese make-up artists. There’re also wigs and costumes to choose from before posing for a photo against local backdrops. Now that’s a selfie worth taking.

Shop while you bop: to celebrate the re-launch of Browns focus, Ted Pearce, who’s designed a range of T-shirts for the event, will be DJing in the fancy new store on 26th and 27th July so you can check out the best new designers being stocked with the coolest tunes in your ears.

Beach party in Camden: the recent sun has probably got you craving sea and sand to complete summer’s holy ‘S’ trinity. If you’re trapped in the city, The Roundhouse in Camden can bring you at least the sand, with the opening of Camden Beach on 27th July. A selection of food and drink will be on offer at the pop-up over the next month, so dust off your swimmies and get down there.

Sipping with Spalding: Fancy dinner on a Shoreditch rooftop cooked by roving chef Ben Spalding? Get yourself a ticket for his Stripped Back event’s collaboration with Sipsmith Summer Cup’s Sundowner on the 30th July and you could do just that. Get yourself a ticket and enjoy a four course dinner at sundown, with a Sipsmith Summer Cup thrown in, while you style-spot from on high.
