The fashionable new flower trends to follow
While we're busy embracing new clothing trends each season, over in the world of floristry equally important trends are also being created. Whether roses or ranunculus (yes we had to Google that too), there's no limit to the variations on show.
We're lucky enough to see some of the most beautiful bouquets from the best florists in the business scattered around the venues of new season presentations of the latest collections. And with our eye for a trend, we've noticed four key flower trends to take note of.
- Statement: height is key, as is the vase or vessel - the bigger the better
- Singular: whether one single colour or one type of flower, impact comes from the simple design
- Country garden: loose, wild bouquets that look like you've roughly picked the flowers from the hedgerow (although it's all carefully positioned)
- Exotic: the antithesis of country garden, bright and bold using difficult to source flowers
