The fabulous older ladies of London and their street style
You've heard the saying, 'some things only improve with age'. Well, it seems that street style is one of them.
We sent our roving Never Underdressed photographer across London, from St Johns Wood to Knightsbridge in search of the capital's snappiest dressers over 70. The images were everything we hoped for and more – not merely the inevitably chic product of a wardrobe developed over the course of a full life, crammed with investment pieces (keep an eye on the bags and the belts) and heirlooms, but also proof that the current vogue for comfort dressing and clothes that are both practical and stylish started with the mature fashion fan. Every Celine-inspired polo neck, slack, flat shoe and camel hue started off in an older lady's wardrobe.
