After the success of last season's 'leading ladies' campaign, (in which Grace Coddington was unleashed on a wider general public and found to be every bit as fabulous as we always knew she was), M&S unveils its latest line-up today, once again shot by A-list photographer Annie Liebovitz.

If anything, it's even more impressive – less of the stardust perhaps, although Emma Thompson, Alek Wek and Annie Lennox are not to be sniffed at, but a brilliant breadth of women who really speak to the diverse bunch of us who shop in there. Fashion's fairy godmother (so called by her Fashion East lot) Lulu Kennedy is in there, pregnant with her now-born daughter Rainbow, as is structural engineer Roma Agrawal, known for advocacy for women working in that sphere, as well as Baroness Lawrence of Clarendon, who as Stephen Lawrence's mother is a campaigner for various causes alongside her peerage. Chef and writer Rachel Khoo has made the list too, and then there's Rita Ora as well, because, well, she's in everything.

Truly, all human life is here. All that remains is to figure out which piece from the image will be this season's 'pink coat' – the hero piece which famously sold out pronto for autumn. Our bets are on Alek's dress or Doreen Lawrence's sleeveless blazer.
