What were we jealous and bitter about before Instagram came along? Can't remember. But now that we have it in our lives, there's so much to choose from.

Instagram provides the perfect platform for celebrities to show us their fantastic lifestyles, and never is this more evident than when they take a holiday. There are the windswept selfies taken in streams of beach sunlight. There are pictures of pedicured feet nestled in golden sand. There are photos that were 'spontaneously' snapped by a third party, of the celeb in question practising yoga in their bikini at sunset, or gazing meaningfully out to sea. And all of this is often served up with a faux-humble hashtag: #blessed.
