The speculation regarding the Kimye wedding has reached its dizzying peak: they are getting married tomorrow (Saturday May 24) in Europe – in France, or in Florence, or somewhere... Look, we're not exactly sure where it's going to be but we're sure it's going to be extravagant. 

Women's Wear Daily has plenty of details on the Kimye outfits, meanwhile, and it claims that Kanye is going to wear a custom-made APC tuxedo. Which is nice and French and all but what we really want to know is: what is Kim going to wear.

WWD rules out a Vera Wang gown, given that Kim chose the world's favourite bridal designer for her last wedding, to Kris Humphries two years ago. The fashion insider website posits that she'll choose one of her more recent collaborators: Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy (Tisci was the first designer in high fashion to embrace Kim and he's close to Kanye and has been introduced to little baby North) or Alber Elbaz at Lanvin (Kim wore Lanvin to the Met ball earlier this month). Other designer names mentioned include Ermanno Scervino, Valentino’s Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, Zac Posen, Donatella Versace and Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing, but it's all speculation. Nobody really knows anything.  

Here at NEVER UNDERDRESSED, we feel that Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy is the most likely choice – and God knows we love a Givenchy wedding dress – but we are secretly hoping for a Vivienne Westwood gown. Just imagine that famous teeny waist in a big bustling Westwood wedding dress. It could be glorious.  

 

One thing we do feel certain about is that the dress will be white. Yes, this is Kim's third marriage and some people think that discretion is called for in such circumstances – Lee Radziwill recently tweeted 'Does your second marriage in 3 years really call for a big white wedding?' – but we are not convinced that Kim has such qualms... And anyway, the girl loves white. Along with black and nude, it is Kim's favourite colour, complementing her caramel skin perfectly, offsetting that thick shiny hair, whether it's raven or honey-coloured at any given time. She is consistently seen in white dresses and has been since she rose to TV stardom in the mid-2000s.   

Kim's style has changed as her fame has grown, particularly, of course, since she became romantically involved with Kanye and he introduced her to the fashion world, but one thing is constant: her love for white, off-white and cream.
