Oh Mia Farrow, how pretty you look. No wait, is that you Beyoncé? Cripes, a dead-ringer if ever we saw one. In a picture posted on Instagram last night, the singer debuted a brand new and completely unexpected haircut to her fans. Gone are those whirly, long curls of times gone by and in comes a rather cutesy, Mia Farrow-esque pixie cut. You know, the crop that first hit the big time in her career-defining role in Rosemary’s Baby.

And while Mia famously spoke out about having done the haircut herself (not Vidal Sassoon, as it was alleged), it’s certain that Beyoncé had a whole army of stylists on hand to see her into this new look with ease. Hers looks a slightly more ombre-blonde shade and it’s been styled up a whole load more as well.

It looks, well… very fresh. And modern too. Yes, it’s come as quite a shock, but actually it’s exactly what the singer needed. She hasn’t changed things up for some time and this new style brings with it a certain amount of cool. It also makes her looks a lot more like her sister Solange too, which is no bad thing. All we would say is a touch blonder please, Beyoncé.
