Is this the ultimate blueprint of summer skin? We think so
Some people have that kind of skin that you can see glowing from a good few metres away. The type of even, completely flawless skin that nowadays seems like a complete rarity. I have an old school friend who has this type of skin. Honestly, she’s never had a blemish in her life and doesn’t need to wear a single smidgen of make-up because her beautifully olive skin is stand-out. Epic. Stare-worthy. Day or night, all year round.
While most of Hollywood’s beauties parade red carpet events and store openings with gleaming complexions, there aren’t many that even touch the sides compared to model Erin Heatherton. Honestly. From afar, perhaps, but up close and under the scrutiny of an HD camera, not even a patch. No matter how many oxygen-infused facials and glycolic peels they endure on a weekly basis at the hands of LA’s best derms, wonderfully unflawed skin is something you are born with. Fact.
At last night’s Grow Ups 2 premiere in New York, Heatherton’s face was brighter than the city’s sunset. So smooth and bronzed you’d think she’d been retouched by Mario Testino’s team. But no, this is the real deal. This is just her lucky, old skin. Completely unadulterated and genuinely that radiant. Yes there’s probably a bit of Touche Eclat and BB cream of some sort on there, but there’s no denying that it’s impeccably perfect. The gentle smattering of freckles, slightly Pocahontas-esque and a bit Twiggy as well, give that soft shading and sun-kissed effect that you just cannot fake (I know because I’ve tried. And failed.). It’s surfer girl perfect. So much so that her shiny, red lip and fuller lashes without a doubt play second fiddle.
