We've already covered some of the brilliant autumn pieces that have appeared in AllSaints so far this season, but the chain has taken its reputation for leather expertise a step further (quite literally) with the launch of its new footwear range, Below the Knee, this week.

Comprising stompy, sturdy boots – finished with a gamine tassel detail – as well as some styles that are more sophisticated and spindly for party season, the collection takes grunge and rock chick as its starting point but develops that into a refined mode that feels less Camden Market, more Left Bank.

They're not cheap, but then the store has set itself the challenge of working with Italian leather craftsmen to celebrate quality and show of their talents in a range that takes the brand in a new direction.
