Model of the moment, 44-year-old Christy Turlington, has been photographed by the coolest couple in fashion imagery, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, for the autumn/winter 2013 Jason Wu campaign.

Turlington, who is also starring in the autumn/winter 2013 Prada campaign and the next Calvin Klein Underwear campaign, appears alongside Jason Wu himself in some of the images, as the two pose in front of a food and champagne-laden table at Mr Chow in Manhattan. 

Turlington’s current career renaissance can, in part, be attributed to van Lamsweerde and Matadin, who shot her for the highly respected The Gentlewoman last year, below. The shoot brought Turlington back to the forefront of fashion after she had taken a sabbatical to concentrate on humanitarian work and her family. 

Penny Martin, editor of The Gentlewoman, says, ‘It's the dream combination, isn't it? They've such an intimate, longstanding relationship with Christy that they can really pinpoint the elegance and glamour of her as a fabulous woman as much as the world's most beloved model – and that really worked in the context of our magazine.’ 

The Jason Wu campaign will appear in The Gentlewoman as well as other very fashion-focused, slightly indie-feeling print titles like Love and Self Service. Martin says, ‘I really love that Jason's modelling in the campaign – he's hilarious fun himself and you can see they all had great time on the shoot.’
