When it's still only January and you're bored of your winter wardrobe, the best antidote is to think ahead by compiling a spring wishlist. The arrival of Whistles' spring/summer campaign today is perfectly timed – and best of all, it pays attention to the sort of trans-seasonal, this-is-warm-enough-to-wear-in-February fashion we're craving.

Yes, there are crop tops and spaghetti-strap frocks (including a very desirable silver foil version), but as usual for Whistles there's also a lot of leather and comforting knitwear. Alongside the palate-cleansing whites and pinks are blacks and navy blues to ease you out of winter gently. There's also a must-have foil rucksack – fancy enough to persuade you to give the trend a go and forget any association between rucksacks and hill-walking.

In short, there's plenty to keep us going until the weather gets warm – at which point we'll be buying the brand's fabulously nerdy flat sandals, which we've been thinking about ever since the show in September.
