The It-bags you haven't met yet

by

Thought you knew everything there was to know about It-bags? Think again.

In this age of low-impact logos and stealth wealth, most houses have refined their arm candy to something altogether less shouty, less bling. It's all about great shape, good functionality and perfect leather, better even than your own perfectly moisturised hide.

Enter Desa, a brand you might not know but whose wares you've almost certainly hoiked about town. It's the leather goods company that supplies skins to Mulberry, among other high-end labels, and it boasts a design team who have worked in some of the world's most exclusive ateliers, including Dior and Dolce & Gabbana.

You can't smell across the internet (we're working on this) but if you could, you'd be breathing in great gasps of fine quality leather, nappa blended with suede and ostrich skin, all stitched to infinite perfection. And you'd be planning which pocket to keep your house keys in. As it is, the internet remains a great way to perv on brilliant handbags, so make the most of it.

These two are from Desa's new 1972 premium collection, named for the year of the company's birth, and available to pre-order at Antonioli, before you can get your hands on them later this month. And my, won't they look just great with almost everything you own? From £300.
