Remember last year's Grammys, when the organisers issued a dress code to try and make the event seem a bit, well classier? It ruled out over-exposure of certain areas (below the waist, it was stipulated), thongs and struck a blow against side-, under- and frontboob (but not cleavage). No-one paid a jot of attention and turned up practically naked regardless.

Fast forward a year to last night, and most attendees appear to have got the message. Red carpet outfits were, for the most part, demure and covered up. Katy Perry even wore a hot-off-the-catwalk Valentino couture dress, shown in Paris only last week. She looked downright angelic. Perhaps the music industry has finally heard about the new rules of red carpet cool? Or perhaps they're following the example of this year's awards season darling, Lupita Nyong'o?
