Jennifer Lawrence bares her midriff in Proenza Schouler at Comic Con

When you feel great you look great, and Jennifer is a case in point, having just rekindled things with Nicholas (swoon!) Hoult. Proenza Schouler, one of the fashion insider's fave labels, gives her a youthful fashion bloom, although the shoes are a bit prissy and I'd have preferred something a bit scarier – she is at Comic Con for goodness sake!  She looks covetable like a pair of box-fresh new sneakers!  From the ankle up – ha!

I love this skirt, the length, the slight asymmetry, the brilliant white, the whiff of ’60s Courrèges – especially when it’s contrasted against that skin of Jennifer Lawrence’s, so golden, so soft-looking, like a peach but more sheeny, more perfect. Her top is cute, fun, exposing the mandatory midriff. But the shoes and the hair let the look down for me. Those heels are too ornate, I think, for an outfit as pleasingly minimalist as this. And I would have preferred a contrasting colour. The hair meanwhile is just flat. I know it’s probably humid in San Diego where Comic-Con is held but in that instance it’s always better to pull a fringe from the face, rather than risk it sitting limply on the forehead.

If you look closely at this photo, you'll just about be able to make out Jennifer Lawrence.
What's brilliant about this outfit is that the price is embedded in the QR codes which also form the majority of the top. Go up to it (her) with any barcode reader and you'll be directed to one of several websites. The first strip will take you to the IMDB sites of all her latest upcoming films. The middle, thinner strip contains the price plus washing guide lines for the whole outfit. And the bottom strip is just for show.
Even though Jenny is notorious for getting her sixes and nines muddled up, everything - especially the top - fits perfectly.
It is worth knowing that the skirt can only be washed at 300 degrees and then has to be binned for safety otherwise it becomes too bright.
