Sharon Stone in skintight white. Does it work?
Our panelists on the latest and greatest celebrity looks
Sharon Stone at the Las Vegas premiere of Lovelace last night
Carol Tobin, writer and comedian
Sharon Stone looks sensational. She is so comfortable in her skin and it shows. I love this skirt and you can be guaranteed there won't be any accidental Basic Instinct poses whilst wearing it. Only quibble? A pointed black toe might have looked better with this outfit. This is how I envision myself dressing at her age but I'll probably be confined to corduroy dungarees and turtlenecks.
Joanna McGarry, beauty director at Never Underdressed
Sharon Stone was born to wear white. Preferably head to toe by way of either a complicated cashmere coat (you know the one) or floor-length Cavalli gown (Cannes). Her body is rock solid, but not gristly, like so many other Hollywood women who work out too much. She’s poised, confident and works the camera like an original screen siren and yet something about this leaves me cold. It could be the shoes, which are perfectly lovely but belong to another outfit entirely, one which features an Aztec print cotton sundress and a collection of distressed leather wrist straps. No, actually it’s her hair. It’s sad. Limp. And concave. She should cut it just below the chin to make it look 1,000 times thicker. Go on, Sharon.
Sali Hughes, beauty editor at the Guardian
I love the Jerry Hall at Studio 54/vintage Halston-type vibe Sharon's got going here, with a gigolo satin shirt, deep tan and stack dancing sandals. It's overtly sexy and grown-up without being remotely mutton. This is a sophisticated look that just wouldn't work on a young starlet. It's Sharon Stone knowing what suits her best.
