Moisturisers as thick as frosting do very little in combating the dehydrated parchness that seems to take hold of skin at the start of the summer. They just can't get down deep enough into the skin to make a blind bit of difference. Switch to a hydrating oil and use sparingly. 

This is the best I've found - it contains a potent blend of botanical antioxidants and it's fine texture means it absorbs faster than other oils, so you'll be glowy, but shine-free.
