Lady Gaga stepped out clutching a crystal this week, perhaps a memento from the time she recently spent with the performance artist Marina Abramović; she was, after all, filmed nude surrounded by crystals for the artist as part of Kickstarter fundraising campaign.   

Gaga being Gaga, chose to carry the most phallic crystal she could find – no simple-shaped crystal was ever going to be healing or inspiring enough for pop's provocateur. She should note though that if she is in the market for accessories with phallic connotations, Vivienne Westwood has been creating them for years.
