What the Frock: Anna Dello Russo

Our panelists on the latest and greatest celebrity looks

Anna dello Russo goes for a stroll in Milan in an uncharacteristically low-key ensemble.

Thelma Speirs, milliner
I think she looks good as a Tom boy – I like the mix-match with the stripe bag and check shirt. I'm not sure about the shoes though, I would prefer to see her in loafers. Overall, she looks fresh and chic.

Kelly Bowerbank, assistant editor at Never Underdressed
There comes a point in every fantastically OTT 'fashion maniac’s' life (Helmut’s Newton’s words, not mine) when the only thing they have left to shock us with is regular clothes. For ADR today is that day.  Part of me is genuinely concerned for the woman who once said that daywear is not her thing – is this the first sign of a breakdown? But on the other hand, I find her version of dressed-down dog-walker a nice palette cleanser from her usual extravagant looks. And true to herself, she’s still donning a good accessory, the only difference on this occasion is that there’s nothing else to distract from that Dolce & Gabbana bag.

Jonny Woo, drag artist
Not the usual kitsch glam we expect from Ms dello Russo. it looks more like she got her outfit from a Tommy Hilfiger outlet store. The specs give away that underneath this hockey mum drag is a 'fashion maniac' lying dormant. The dog seems to be enjoying a rest from the usual daily catwalk routine and is heading off, sniffing out a suitable place to leave a calling card. I am sure Anna has a Chanel plastic bag in her understated stripey Dolce handbag with which to pick up doggy's droppings though. Even international fashionistas need a day off from life's ever demanding sartorial challenges.
