He’s the legend of the tanning world and has seen the likes of Rosie H-W, Lara Stone and Lady Gaga de-clothed and clinging to the bars of a tanning booth. That’s because he’s the A-list go-to man for anything tan related. Whether it’s an all-over glow, shaded contouring for red carpet events or just about any bronzing thing you can think of, he does it.  And now, the sought after man in question – James Read – will be available to all with the launch of his debut tanning studio.

The editor's favourite, who launched his hit line of bronzing products last year, will be opening his first ‘Studio by James Read’ at Harvey Nichols in London next month. A complete, open-to-all space that finally means he’s not reserved just for Hollywood’s most elite and international supermodels. 'I was the first tanning expert to bring out a self-branded range,' James told us, 'and I wanted to follow this up by launching the first self-branded tanning salon. I'm taking tanning to the next level, with personalisation and innovation.'

What ideal timing that the studio will open right in the heat of summer when pre-holiday prep is rife and spray tans mean the difference between sallow, blotchy skin and the limbs of Candice Swanepoel. Sort of. Bets are on as to whether there will be regular sightings of newly tanned Rosie H-W and Lara Stone slipping out the back door of Harvey Nicks.
